Jash and I made a mad dash to the English countryside last week when he had a couple of days off. (Originally booked off to go see Spectres in Berlin....) We visited his head Chef from his previous job at West back in Vancouver who is now making waves in Hurley at the Olde Bell Inn. This place is not only a tasty treat but the most relaxing inn; a haven if you will.

We were thrilled to stay in Room 1 which had the best views of the Chef's Garden and the patio... not to mention it's own living room, a top of the line washroom, a bed as wide as I am tall, and a claw foot bathtub. Did I mention that they only use AĆ©sop products? My new fave rave bath products - they're an olfactory party. It was all too heavenly.

After the savoury dinner of langoustines, walnut & goat cheese salad, octopus, and a million other things I can hardly remember consuming because we had a plethora of drinkypoos accompanying it. Yes, we got a little wild in the country - which resulted in a fleetwood mac jam out. More specifically, we kept listening to "Gypsy" and I was clearly inspired by it all (please refer to the impromptu quilt drape coat I made).

end of the night - smith westerns

More to come on this wild trip - next up: a nature walk along the Thames.

Miss Sandy
