the flower cowboy
What I look forward to the most on the weekend are the market days. Bricklane, Columbia Road Flower Market, and of course Broadway Market. Most of these adventures are, of course, food related. Japanese pancakes, scallops, and fresh young coconut drinks are among the few items I regularly seek out.
The flower market is one of my favourites, not so much for food but for the sights, sounds, and smells - but especially the sounds. If you're looking for some serious verbal abuse, this is the place to be. The juxtaposition of terrifying loud men shouting prices for dainty delicate fragile flowers is amazing. I do not recommend going there with a hangover though.
