Saturday was not nearly as painful as Friday. The sun slowly lit up the en suite washroom from a skylight as morning turned to afternoon. I got ready with the intention of attending The Zoe Report x Dolce Vita Pool Party.
We arrived fashionably late to the location in Palm Springs only to realize it was a shuttle situation. Standing in the afternoon sun, waiting in line to take a shuttle is just another glamourous (read necessary evil) part of the weekend. The party was over capacity and the shuttle had shut down, if only we had arrived 15 minutes prior. (Note to self... "fashionably late" is not the best policy at Coachella pool parties).
The ride back to Rancho Mirage seemed to take forever as we geared up to head over to Coachella. We might as well salvage the afternoon! Despite our best efforts, we still arrived near dusk - it's all a process and patience is key. We took in some bands, ate some subpar/overpriced slices of semi cold pizza, and took in the scene.
The Weeknd was over 20 minutes late and our patience quota had been met for the day. We snuck out before the exiting crowds were overwhelming back through the dust maze and on to the shuttle. Sleep was the only thing left on the agenda.
